Here are some new updates on  roads:

From MNDOT- if you are traveling way north on Hwy 89

BEMIDJI, Minn. —Motorists will encounter an emergency detour from Highway 89 north of Grygla beginning at noon on Wednesday, May 11, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The detour route from Grygla is north on Marshall County Road 54 for eight miles, west on Marshall County Road 6 for six miles, then back to Highway 89. Southbound traffic will take the same detour route in reverse. The detour is posted at nine ton and will be in place for approximately two weeks as crews work to replace a failed culvert.

             From Beltrami County Highway-

SPRING ROAD RESTRICTIONS WILL BE EXTENDED ON SEVERAL COUNTY ROADS

Due to poor road conditions in the NE portion of Beltrami County gravel road restrictions in that area will remain in place until further notice.  Restrictions will remain in place on all gravel roads East of County Road 15 (Irvine Avenue) and North of County Road 22 (Island View Dr and Turtle River Lake Rd) including County Road 22.  Roads will have signs posted with the restricted axle weight limits.

From Beltrami County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Management -

Beltrami County continues to deal with roads that are closed, posted as caution, or otherwise impaired by the high water levels.  Please use caution in driving on these roads and call our Law Enforcement Center at 333-9111 if you encounter a sinkhole or other dangerous defect in a road that is not marked as such.  Our township and public works folks are working hard to assure that all problems are addressed but help from our citizens is very much appreciated.  Drive safe.
