Town Board to Meet on Black Lake Development

On Monday November 24, 2008 at 6:30 pm, there will be a special meeting of the Turtle Lake Town Board. The purpose of the meeting is to publically discuss the proposed development of a 113 RV Unit development on Black Lake. This lake is classified as Sensitive Area Lake under the Beltrami County Shoreland Management Ordinance. The EAW is available from the county Environmental Services Department and public comments will be accepted through December 3.

Northwoods Folk Collective's First Friday Coffeehouse This Friday!

 

November 7 the Northwoods Folk Collective once again presents the First Friday Coffeehouse.  As usual the event will be at the Wild Rose Theater in the Masonic Temple building at 501 Paul Bunyan Drive.  The First Friday Coffeehouse is a Bemidji tradition of fun and sharing.  The open mic event is chance for musicians and writers of all experience levels to share their talent with enthusiastic, inter-generational audiences.  The show starts at 7:30 PM.  Performer sign-up begins at 6:30.  Those not performing are asked to make a $2:00 donation or $5:00 for a family.  For more information, contact Dennis Montgomery at 218-766-6056.
