Shooting Death at Red Lake

On Wednesday, Nov3, 2010 at 3:12 PM, the Red Lake Department of Public Safety responded to a shooting incident in the community of Redbyon the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The three victims were identified as JerrickDemarrias, age 19, Julian Demarrias, age 22 and Orlando Spears, age 19. Julian Demarrias died as a result of his wounds. The other two victims are in critical condition in area hospitals.

The incident involved a Dodge Durango and a black 1998 GMC Yukon bearing Red Lake license plate 19287. The vehicle is believed to have a cream colored stripe on the side. Witnesses heard 8 to 10 gun shots and saw the black Yukon speed away from the scene. The alleged shooter is identified as Donald Lee Clark Jr., AKA Don Juan. Clark is a Native American male, 5'11", 230 lbs., brown eyes and black hair. His DOB is 07/26/1988. Clark and the vehicle have not been located. Clark should be considered armed and dangerous. It is believed that Clark may be in the possession of a 12 gauge shotgun and an assault rifle. Beltrami County currently holds an active felony probation warrant on Donald Lee Clark for fleeing a peace officer. No bail was set.

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety and the FBI is also seeking information on location of Cruz White, a person of interest in this case (no furtherinformation at this time). Please contact the Red Lake DPS or the Bemidji FBI if you have contact with White.
